Requirement: Datastage Lead

Required skills and experience:

  • ? Experienced in all aspects of the software development life cycle (e.g. requirements, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation) and associated execution models (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, Iterative Development, etc.)
    ? Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
    ? Prepare unit test cases and perform the unit testing to ensure the module functionality is implemented to meet the customer requirement.
    ? Plan, develop and implement large-scale projects from conception to completion
    ? Analyse system specifications and translate system requirements to task specifications for junior programmers
    ? Responsible for analysis of current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problem programs, and designing solutions to problematic programming
    ? Tests new programs to ensure that logic and syntax are correct, and that program results are accurate; assists lower-level programmers with programming assignments
    ? Document code consistently throughout the development process by listing a description of the program, special instructions, and any changes made in database tables on procedural, modular and database level
    ? Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
    ? Define project schedules, allocate resources and monitor progress
    ? Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
    ? Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
    ? Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
